The dime has the president Franklin D. Roosevelt on it. The dime was also introduced into production in 1796. Franklin D. Roosevelt's is on the dime because after he died on April 12, 1945 everyone remembered he had guided the nation out of the Great Depression and to victory in World War II so they put Mr. Roosevelt on the dime to remember him and the greatness he did for the nation. Some interesting facts about the dime are it has 118 ridges around the edge. Also a really old dime, the 1894-S dime, one of only nine known to exist, recently fetched $1.9 million. I used http://www.pcgs.com/articles/article984.chtml and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dime_(United_States_coin) for my information.

Nemo in Paint
In my paint picture, there is a clown fish, jellyfish, a rock, seaweed, and some other fishes swimming around the clown fish. I got my facts from the website http://tolweb.org/treehouses/?treehouse_id=3309.

D.W. Cartoon in Paint
For this project I used the website http://www.coloring.ws/cartoons.htm to find my cartoon picture. I found out some intersting information on D.W., my cartoon character. For instence D.W. stands for Dora Winifred, named after one of her grandmothers. Also in an episode D.W. kept on singing "Crazy Bus" and it is her favorite song.

First Blog
Yesterday, I made this blog in my computer class. My computer teacher needed me to have one for my beginning computer class. I have never had a blog before, so this is my first experience. My name is Giggly Girl and I choose this because I am always laughing. Most of the time I am happy so I thought it was a perfect name. So far I think that blogs and confusing and unnecessary. Hopefully I will change my mind about blogs after having one for a while.
